  • Need Ideas for the Game Design Competition?

arcade.jpgWith the December 5th deadline fast approaching for your Game Design Competition proposals, I thought it might be nice to help with a little inspiration.

First up, National Geographic gets into the business with “Herod’s Lost Tomb.” The game comes as a free download on PC. Mac, or iPhone and allows the player to hunt for missing objects in the ancient king’s burial labyrinth.

Next comes a fabulous walk down arcade memory lane from the people over at EW. The list of 19 classic arcade games also offers loving references to the culture of the arcade. Everything from over long breaks while working in the mall to exasperated peeks over the shoulders of some late teen or early twenty-year-old hunkered down on your favorite machine with a week’s pay of quarters.

    Classic indeed.
